10,000th hit

This morning I see that the hit counter on my travel-blog is right at the 10,000 mark!  Since I started counting country traffic in February of this year, I have seen traffic from  56 different countries!  This month I hope to finish my posts from Christmas in China and then Chinese New Year in February 2010.  Following that, I have about a decade of past posts to enter; I’ll be relying on my travel journal, emails home to friends and family, the short travel stories that I’ve written and the 70,000+ photos that I’ve taken since 2001.

I just wanted to say “thanks” for dropping by this site and sharing some of my travel adventures!

lost in translation

I suppose that one of the nicer features of hosting this blog at WordPress is that you get daily stats on the number of visits that you receive, what page each visitor looked at, & who referred them.  Today, I saw that I received a referral from Goggle Russian.  I clicked on the link and found my Kazakh Museum page had been completely converted into Russian.  I thought, “How neat is that?”
